As you are well aware, I am testing the Sony SA Series laptop, which Sony sent me a few weeks ago. On my last post, I’m

I am happy to say that the speakers are great on both models, although the Macbook Pro is making a little bit more bass. Both can be pretty loud, and both have greater clarity (as for laptops, in any case)

Sony has a better resolution, but the Mac is better than the screen. The colors seem more crisp and the corners of the view are better …

Hands down, Mac. The glass feels much better, though Sony has the smartest way to avoid the glare surface of many HP models. Tracking is also much smoother, although tracking is better than tracking on every Windows laptop, so it’s not a surprise. Sony was smart, and it made the trey big enough, so you shouldn’t have a problem with its use. However, I had to get a little sensibility to get to where I could move from one end of the screen to another with one gesture. Note: If you get Sony or any other Windows laptop, I would recommend that you install it for free.

The mouse buttons in Sony are pretty good. They’re not the best I’ve ever seen on a laptop, but they easily press and give a satisfactory response. Mac, on the other hand, doesn’t have a mouse button-the trackfall clicks the mouse. When it comes to clicking, it’s a question of opinion. On the Mac, if you want to right-click the mouse, click on the Command Click button, or click one finger and click the mouse on the other. I use the second method, and I’ve become so used to this, that using the actual right mouse button down feels awkward. However, the Mac method, right-clicking, will be as inconvenient for someone who is used to use this button with the right mouse button …

Sony is a good laptop when it ships with other Windows-based laptops. Despite the fact that the body is still made of plastic, it feels strong and fast, and the keyboard is a chiclet-style similar to the Mac, which makes for a really nice typical experience. However, it cannot be compared with the aluminum construction of Unifium Macbook Pro-there is no laptop on the Windows base on which I came (except perhaps the high-class ThinkPads). In addition, the lid feels a little unconvincing, and it does not stay in place, just like the Mac (or many other laptops, for this issue). He won’t fall down on his own, but you can move him with a slight thumbs-up. The same push won’t move the McBook cover …

Sony is winning here. Support for HDMI and USB 3.0 makes this multipurpose machine available for use with telly and many other peripheral devices. Mac’s missing an HDMI that’s kind of lame. I bought a VGA adapter for me to connect it to the projectors. Apple can say what they want, but the Mini DisplayPort is a LAST connection that I chose for the laptop …

Sony’s all here. The low-end SB comes with Radeon HD 6470, and the beefed-up SA model comes with Radeon HD 6630. Both cards make the meat part of the integrated GPU Intel HD 3000, which is included in the Macbook Pro. With my SA, I have to play Dirt 2 up to 30 frames per second after the bloom …

This is really a preference-you need Windows 7 or OS X? Both have advantages and disadvantages. However, there are several things: Macs can be easily set up on a double-boot OS X and Windows 7 with the included Boot Camp. Depending on your major, you can buy Windows 7 for the ultra-low price from your campus bookstore (on ISU, business and engineering majors get it for $10). Go to the bookstore to find out … Since most of you read these college students, I will break the cost of REAL each of these laptops for you. First, Sony: You mostly have two choices with the Sony models .. • SB model. This is the lower end model that you can get. • The SA model. This is the model I have, and it’s retail. • With a Macbook Pro, you get$100 from the student, the price goes up to $1,099. In addition, you get$100 for storage on Mac app store, so if there are applications that you would like to receive, you can take this promotion to the cost ..

At the end of the day, I think the choice between these two laptops is a priority. If you are not looking for a star graph, Sony SB can be a good budget choice, especially since you can get the sheet battery free of charge. If I had to choose, I would still go with the Macbook Pro, but Sony is close …
